I decided to do a quick little cosplay wip test of everybody’s favorite ghost rapper from The Gorillaz!
I cosplay Russel but i have never seen anyone cosplay Del before. While i’m sure there are those good amount of Russel cosplayers, there are only a handful of the ghost rapper cosplayers out there.
The hat was originally a red one before using yellow paint and the red lines were also painted one since i wanted to do a more hands on approach. Later one, i will post more of the pictures and some higher quality pics since these were taken with my phone!
And here are the higher quality pics i promised!
I tried doing some of his poses and in in the process, i couldn’t take myself serious so i took ungodly amount of Del pics xD But these are my favorites! Hope you guys like it!
And when the MC rhyme and the DJ spin I want y'all to just get down Now when the MC rhymin’ and the DJ cuttin’ I want y'all to just get down
I have this Karamatsu x Reader fic idea that’s been plaguing my mind for a long time and i might just write it up but for now im just gonna share the basic plot, right so:
Now, see, it starts off with Reader just crossing a bridge that they usually frequent after getting really stressed and just trying to blow off steam, and then after a little bit of a stroll they somehow manage to stumble upon Karamatsu, and uhhh usual Karamatsu shenanigans ensue and while Reader is predictably as exasperated with him at first as is commonplace for anyone that has to interact with him while he’s in his poetic moods, they’re still actually responding to everything he says instead of outright ignoring him or insulting him. Inwardly, Karamatsu is pleasantly surprised at this, and while he’s not outwardly expressing his surprise (since Cool Guys dont get caught off guard), he’s kind of confused as to why, because even though Reader is sort of frivolously responding to him (since their mind is on all their stresses and they’ve had this major headache ever since they crossed that bridge), its infinitely better than how most people just snub him. He eventually dismisses his confusion and just writes this off as his ‘Karamatsu charm finally taking effect’.
After some time of just hanging out with Karamatsu, Reader realizes that they’re not as stressed anymore, along with their headache subsiding (thanks to a particularly ostentatious man for serving as an effective distraction), and should really be getting home.
After thanking him for the more or less unusual interaction, Reader gives their farewell to a (rather disappointed) Karamatsu, and heads off the other direction to their home…except they don’t know what that direction is since for some reason now that Reader’s mind is clear of stress and more aware, their surroundings look extremely unfamiliar. It’s odd since the duration of that walk they had didn’t feel all that long so they shouldn’t have wandered off too far into unfamiliar territory.
They eventually chalk it up to them being so lost in their own thoughts and whatever Kara was saying that they didn’t even notice where their feet were taking them. Reader tries to find the bridge, but no matter what direction they take to find it, nothing looks familiar, and they start to get scared because where the hell is that bridge??? Am i lost??? So they start running back to their previous direction and find Karamatsu again, and asks him where that particular bridge is.
He has an inkling as to what they’re talking about so he takes them to his favorite bridge, but Reader is pretty sure that’s not the bridge they’re looking for, and redescribes the bridge except now with super specific details. Karamatsu regrettably admits that he hasn’t seen such a bridge before.
Reader is now understandably worried and starting to get a little anxious, so Karamatsu offers a “Heh, you need not worry, my Karamatsu darling, I won’t let any calamity befall you! Trust in me! I’ll do everything in my ability to get you home!”.
Reader is grateful that he’s helping but all they’re thinking is, ‘god, why does he act like some kind of character, is he doing some kind of roleplay right now?’
So Karamatsu and Reader set off on their little adventure to find that bridge, and while they’ve covered a sizable amount of ground, their efforts ended up fruitless. Reader gets a little despondent, so Kara begins to offer a place to stay at his home, but upon remembering the existence of his brothers, he instead offers to buy them a hotel dorm for the night (with the money he doesn’t have).
Reader declines and says he’s done enough and they have enough money on them to buy a hotel room for at least five days.
Now they don’t part just yet. Reader has no clue as to where they are and things look so different and their cell phone has no network whatsoever for some reason, so they enlist Karamatsu’s help in finding them a hotel.
As they walk into a more populous area, Reader is thrown off by the overwhelming amount of Japanese text surrounding them on signs and whatnot because last time they checked they lived in the West and 'oh my God just how far did I walk?’ is all that’s going through their heads. They find a hotel and then part with Kara, but not before buying a new phone and getting some kind of contact info from him.
In the ensuing days that follow, they frequently enlists Kara’s help (which he is very, very much happy to give) because they’re still confused with their surroundings, he somehow gets them a job (despite failing to get one for himself)
A few weeks have passed by, and they’ve hung out so much and, despite Karamatsu’s one of a kind nature, Reader finds that the both of them are very compatible and they develop a genuine friendship. They naturally bounce off of one another and Karamatsu is just ecstatic that he has someone that isnt his brothers that he can talk about anything with and the friendship they have is completely mutual.
Now here’s where the cool part starts (Oh also, major spoiler alert)…
Reader is very happy about their newfound friendship with Karamatsu, buuut they miss their family and friends and just really wants to go home. So they go out on a stroll to stave off their sadness and try to find that bridge again.
They all of a sudden get a major headache and what do you know, the bridge is right there!! So enthralled with the prospect of finally getting home, Reader crosses the bridge without any hesitance and once they reach the other side everything is finally familiar again.
They get home, meet up with family and friends, and has zero explanation as to why they’ve been gone for a few weeks. They try to call Kara and tell him they’ve gone home but their new phone now has no network and their old phone is still dead from not being charged for so long, they decide to try again some other time
All is good until they want to see Karamatsu again and can’t find him anywhere
No matter how far they walk after crossing the bridge, they cant find any of their usual hangout spots, the hotel they’ve lived in, or even the place they were temporarily working at.
Now at home, once again they try to call Karamatsu, but the new phone still has no service and their old phone doesn’t recognize Karamatsu’s number as one that even exists.
Reader is sad and worried as to why they cant reach out to him. They start scrolling through their gallery in the new phone and looks at pictures of Karamatsu. Their sister or friend or whatever looks over at what they’re doing and is a little surprised.
So they point at his pictures and go, “Oh, hey, I know that guy, he’s from that one anime, the one with the, uh, um, a bunch of twins or something.”
….aaaaand thats where I’ll leave it off for now!! Just one of the potential fics ill write in the future (but ill glady follow up with a continuation of this if anyone’s interested in what happens next)
